Scholarships totaling more than $1.3 million are typically awarded for academics, technical programs, energy and more. Learn more here.

The BSC scholarship priority application deadline is January 1. You may still apply and receive scholarships after Jan. 1.

Grants

Grants are forms of aid you do not have to repay. Recipients are selected based primarily on financial need. Grants are available through the federal and state governments. Keep in mind that:
  1. Repayment is not required.
  2. Funding levels may vary from year to year according to legislative appropriation.
These include:

Federal Student Loans

Federal student loans allow students or their families to borrow money at low interest rates. Keep in mind that repayment is required. Student loans are available to assist students with defraying the cost of educational expenses. Please review this section for information regarding the different types that are available for students.

Federal Work Study

The Federal Work-Study program provides funds for jobs for eligible students to help them pay for their education. Keep in mind that:
  1. Students are awarded the dollar amount they earn over the course of the academic year.
  2. Student Financial Aid refers students to jobs on or off campus.
  3. To be considered, submit the FAFSA, requesting work-study.
